July was such an eventful month for me; I went to Warped Tour, spent some weekends having sunny fun at the lake, visited family, and of course shopped way more than I should have. Here are some new obsessions from July:
Tie Dye Warped Tour Shirt
Every summer when we go to warped I buy a tour shirt as my one souvenir for the event and I usually go for a basic black design with all of the dates on it, but this year I decided to go for this rainbow “Posi Vibes” tee. I don’t really go for color but since this is the last year I thought I would get something different and somehow I have found ways to work it into my everyday wardrobe. Unfortunately this is a tour exclusive so you have to be at the tour to buy it but they do have a few things on their site here. If you want to see how my day at the tour was and what I wore here is my post all about it.
Coach Disney Wallet
For my birthday in June my husband got me this accordion card wallet to replace my old and obnoxiously large one that I used to carry. I am someone who never carries cash or puts anything other than my ID, debit and credit cards in my wallet so it didn’t make any sense to have anything bigger than this one. I am so happy with it. The collab that Coach did with Disney is so cute with all of the Sleeping Beauty and Snow White inspired bags, patches and clothing. I want to buy everything but this is a good start. Buy yours here.
Woodwick Summer Sweets Candle
I have an unnecessarily large candle collection and I almost never buy duplicate scents, this is one of the very few exceptions. A small summer collection from Woodwick was the summer sweets, which included Lime Gelato, Raspberry Yuzu and Sparkling Orange. I love all of them so much that I go this trio and each scent individually. They smell so sweet and yummy. I constantly have one of them lit. If you want to drool over how good your home smells pick this up before it is gone, they are already on clearance because fall is taking over. Get yours here or at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Making the Monster: The Science Behind Mark Shelley’s Frankenstein by Kathryn Harkup
Mary Shelley is so incredibly interesting to me, she is like the queen of goth and the first Science Fiction author with the creation of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster. If you are like me, then you are probably curious about if there is any science that supported her story and what could have inspired a story about creating life from death through electricity. This book not only gives some background to this woman who created and entire gene of writing but gives you an idea of how science supports what she wrote. Obviously no one has been able to actually give life to a corpse but we have been able to save lives through electricity with the use of AED Defibrillators which can start a stopped heart (this book goes into much deeper detail and broader discussion than my small example). If you love science fiction and the science behind it, I highly recommend this book. Get your copy here.
“I’m a Witch” Sign
I recently did an At Home Halloween haul post ,which you can read here, and after I posted that I went to another location to see if different stores have different items in stock, which they did, I found this sign at the second location so it was not included in my haul so I wanted to share it here. I love it so much and unlike my other finds which are in my kitchen, this found a home in my living room along with my skull collection. This is such a fun and accurate sign, I’m happy I found it. At Home does not ship items to you through their website so you have to go in the store to shop but they will tell you what location is closest to you and if they have the item you want in stock so I have included the link to the sign here but you can’t order from this link.
I hope you liked this list of a few things I have loved this past month. Let me know if you have any of these in the comments.
Thank you so much for reading.
See you Tuesday
