Earworm no. 5

I think I might be addicted to Netflix. If I am at home I will have the tv on from the time I wake up until I go to bed, no matter if I’m watching it or not. Lately I have been watching a lot of anime which eventually led to Tareace House popping up in my recommended list. If you haven’t seen it, Terrace House is a Japanese reality show where 3 men and 3 women in their twenties share a house. They all still have jobs, can see their friends outside the house, and have complete access to the outside world but they have to live with strangers. There is a lot of dating and awkward situations between housemates, with funny commentary.

Throughout the entire series they have had the same theme song, Slow Down by Lights Follow. After watching 3 seasons containing around 40 episodes each, I can’t get this song out of my head. It’s driving my husband insane but I won’t stop listening to it. The song is not only extremely catchy but also has some great, relatable lyrics. It talks about how we get caught up in work and day to day life but need to slow down and enjoy life. It goes so well with what happens on the show.

Lights Follow was formed in 2013 by Matt Heath and Gray Griggs to write songs for other artists but luckily through the success of demos they have released their own songs.

You can find them on iTunes and Spotify or visit lightsfollow.com

Have you watched Terrace House? If so what did you think of it? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you so much for reading.

See you Tuesday

Thanks so much for your kind words about the song! It’s meant so much to us seeing the Terrace House fan reactions. Knowing people connect with the lyrics personally is such a big deal to us. We’ll have a new release the 1st of September so keep an ear out and please give your husband our sincerest apologies !

    Cheers

    Matt
