Outfit of the Week: Demon Red

I have spent too much time watching weird anime on Netflix lately, it feels like I’m wasting summer a bit but sometimes you just need to be lazy and relax in the time before you get too busy. Soon I will be consumed by music festivals, fairs, sporting events and trips to the lakes around us.

I know that I have used this shirt before in an old Outfit of the Week but I wasn’t really happy with how it turned out so I decided to do another one to better show off the top. I usually stick to dark colors but, like I said in My Summer Wardrobe Essentials, bright colors are an important part of dressing for summer. The ringer tees from Wicked clothing almost all have red around the sleeves and neckline so I wanted to use that red as the theme of this look.

I paired the shirt with these suspender shorts from Forever 21. I am hesitant to continue shopping there after noticing the John 3:16 on the bottom of their bags (I don’t know how I missed it for so long) and doing more research on the company and how insanely christian it is, along with the theft of designs. But, for now I will continue to wear what I have already purchased and shop more at other retailers. Despite all of that I am obsessed with these shorts. The suspenders are removable and have somewhat adjustable lengths thanks to a few extra buttons. Surprisingly, I was able to fit into a large but if they are loose on you, the belt can help the fit around the waist and leave the fit a bit more flared.
