Outfit of the Week: Platforms and Leather

Spring is almost here which means it is very near the end of  vegan leather pants season. I can not imagine walking around in them when it gets warm. They are amazing in the winter when the unforgiving material keeps the cold air off my legs but the amount of sweat that can accumulate in the summer heat and dreaded chaffing means that I only wear them for a few months out of the year. I am still in search of the perfect summer alternative when I want that 1980s rocker chic look but for now I am in love with my Killstar cigarette pants, although to be honest I will probably get a pair of their leggings  for summer.

My sleeveless shirt, however, is something that I would wear all the time and it is so soft and comfortable I might never take it off. I like this style so much that I am thinking about finding some old band t-shirts to cut like this. It’s probably about time I get over my germ issues with previously owned clothes and venture to some thrift stores, or just use one of my husband’s old shirts that he never wears.

These platform boots are probably the tallest shoes I have ever owned. I have never been that good at walking in heels and I’m not a huge fan of being in pain but who doesn’t love  a beautiful pair of shoes? When I got these in the mail I was worried that I would hate wearing them because of how huge they are but surprisingly I love them. They are one of the most comfortable pairs of heels I have worn, probably because despite the height, the difference between the toe and heel height is only around 2 1/2 inches. I might even buy the black and white version. I don’t recommend wearing them for more than a few hours because the longer I wear them, the more I notice the extra weight.
